1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 Legal Agreement

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and us, governing your use of the App, related services, and any content made available through it.

1.2 Age Requirements

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. If you are under the age of majority, you must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.

1.3 Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will post the updated Terms within the App and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after any such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. User Accounts

2.1 Account Creation

You may be required to create an account (e.g., via Sign in with Apple) to access certain features of the App. You agree to provide accurate and current information during the registration process.

2.2 Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2.3 Account Data Storage

• We store user email addresses, user IDs, and authentication tokens securely using KeychainSwift.
• Subscription status is managed and stored by RevenueCat.
• Locally on your device, we store lesson information and generated study materials using CoreData.

3. Subscriptions and Fees

3.1 Freemium Structure

We offer a free download of the App, with additional subscription-based features.

3.2 Subscription Tiers

3.3 Billing

All subscription billing is handled via RevenueCat and the Apple App Store. Your subscription is subject to the App Store's payment terms, automatic renewal policies, and any promotional offerings.

3.4 Subscription Changes

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable (except as required by law or App Store policies).

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

4.1 Permitted Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

• Upload or transmit any content that infringes another party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Upload or transmit any content that is illegal, obscene, harmful, or in violation of any law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App, its servers, or networks.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or related systems.

4.2 Content Generation

Study Hack uses AI (Google Gemini AI) to process documents and images in memory to generate summaries, flashcards, and quizzes. You acknowledge that:

• Generated content is provided on an "as is" basis for educational or informational purposes.
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all AI-generated content.

4.3 Usage Limits

You agree to abide by the usage limitations for your subscription tier. These include:

• Maximum lesson creation per month
• Maximum image processing requests per month
• Rate limiting (requests per minute) and cooldown periods

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

We (and our licensors) retain all rights, titles, and interests in the App, including but not limited to the software, design, text, graphics, and other content.

5.2 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on authorized devices for personal, non-commercial use.

5.3 User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload. However, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and display your content within the App for the purpose of providing our services.

6. Privacy and Data Handling

6.1 Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information.

6.2 Data Processing

• Document Processing: Files are processed directly in memory, without permanent server-side storage.
• Data Retention: Generated summaries, flashcards, and quizzes are stored locally on your device and can be deleted by you at any time.
• User Data: Minimal personal information (email, user ID, authentication tokens) is stored via secure channels and only used to provide account functionality.

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 Service Providers

We use third-party services, including RevenueCat for subscription management, Supabase for authentication, AWS Lambda for processing, and Google Gemini AI for AI-driven content generation.

7.2 No Liability

We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these third-party providers. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and conditions.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Educational Purposes

All information generated by Study Hack is provided for educational or informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any generated content.

8.2 No Warranty

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless (including our officers, directors, employees, and agents) from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity

10. Termination

10.1 Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in any activity that may harm us or other users.

10.2 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. You may lose access to any data associated with your account, including generated content, which may be deleted.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

12.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be construed as a waiver of that provision or any other provision herein.

12.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations herein without our prior written consent.
